Lifesong - Casting Crowns

Another update! Just so I can get that very depressing post off the front page :D

So Youth Sunday is this week! And our youth groups have been very busy with camp meetings and prep that we kinda left things to the last minute...not good.

But anyway, the pressie of EMYF came up with a brilliant idea to do a mini musical/play on the book of Job. The EMYF pressie and their faith officer chose Job because it is a very telling story of a Godly man who had to go through a lot of tribulations and suffering but he remained faithful to God even though his faith had been badly shakened. The crux of the play is gonna be a song by Casting Crowns: "Lifesong" sung by our very own quartet of singers! We want to encourage the youths and other members of the church that every part of our lives, everything we say and do should be an act of worship to God. Even through many hardships and trials to come, God will and always be faithful to us all. And like Job, we shouldn't be shaken too much and remain steadfast in God.

So this week will be pretty full-on. Committee meeting, practice sessions, not to mention our respective youth fellowships...ahhhhh...fight on, fight on!

What is our LIFE-song?

Btw, HOW AWESOME IS TOY STORY 3?!?!?!?!? It's one of the best movies I've seen up to date. It helped that I saw it in 3D, looked so good! So nostalgic...and I teared at some scenes from a kids movie. Ngawwwww. And because it was a movie aimed at the younger audience, I specifically chose a screen time of 8:30pm. BOOYAH. No annoying little toddlers being noisy and laughing aloud at...inappropriate times...or annoying kids that talk too loud or cry at 'scary' scenes. See, people do learn new things. I learnt to choose better times to watch PG/G rated movies. If parents so dare as to bring their little bubbly kids out to a movie at 8:30pm. YOU. ARE. NOT. FIT. TO. BE. PARENTS. SORRY.

Next movie: Karate Kid
